Come Grow With Us!
Alameda Backyard Growers (ABG) is a community of gardeners who enjoy growing their own food, sharing it with neighbors and helping others learn how to grow and preserve their own food.
Opportunities for Volunteering with ABG:
We welcome your energy, enthusiasm, know-how and skills! There are many ways you can help ABG stay a strong community resource – here are just a few:

Children aged 10 and under will not be able to participate with Project Pick. Other volunteer opportunities may be available to this age group. Students aged 16 – 17 and over may participate with Project Pick on their own at the discretion of the Project Pick Coordinator or pick leader, and a parent or guardian must also sign their waiver. Students 18 and above may participate and can sign their own waivers. Students who participate may receive community service hours if they bring the correct paperwork from their schools. The Project Pick Coordinator or other adult volunteers can confirm their participation hours and sign their school forms.
